My Son’s Hero
I met Conan while working at AFW2, (in Vegas) it wasn’t until later (after I quit), that I found out my friend Sarah (aka my baby sis) fell in love with him – sneaky little shits. One day I was talking to them both about my son Trey, who was going through some hard times. Trey was depressed, had bad anxiety and would make comments like “I have nobody”, “I just want to go to sleep and never wake up” etc etc (comments considered to be on the lower side of “suicidal ideations”). Conan had said let me talk to him, bring him over and we’ll play video games together etc. and so I did.
Within days I saw Trey smile, laugh, his grades at school started to improve over time and he was always talking at home… (wouldn’t shut up 🤣)
In my eyes, Conan helped save Trey, he helped him through a difficult time in his life when both Treys Dad and I couldn’t. He became Treys Best Bud, his mentor, his friend. Trey was the “Robin to Conan’s Batman” and I will forever be grateful for my son’s Hero.
